When ‘F*** The System’ went viral: It’s the perfect anthem for our times
Full House fans will have a blast when the series returns to ABC on February 22.
In the new series, the characters in the popular animated series, who are now grown up, will reunite for the first time in 25 years.
The reunion will see the show’s creator Matt Groening (who has previously said he would like to have a female version of the show) and cast members Kristen Bell and Bobby Moynihan reprise their roles as the cast of the sitcom, which has been on ABC since 2005.
But, unlike the original Full House, the revival will not have a storyline similar to that of the original series.
Instead, the show will feature new cast members including Jason Alexander (the husband of show star Candice Bergen), Will Arnett, Lauren Lapkus, Emily Deschanel and Matt LeBlanc.
This is the first season to be shot on location in New Zealand, with the cast returning to their native land for the filming.
“The cast and crew have been working with the New Zealand community in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago to ensure that the fans can see what it’s like to be part of a show that has been around for over 25 years,” Groening said in a statement.
“We’re also excited to bring the series back to the US, where it has been seen by millions of fans for nearly three decades.”
While many fans will be thrilled to see the characters reunite, it’s the other cast members who will be most excited about the return.
“This show was my favorite when I was young and I still remember the moment I met Kristen and the excitement I felt when I finally saw her on screen,” Bell said.
“Now that I’m older and I’m in my 50s, I’m looking forward to seeing all the things that have happened over the years.”
