Irish House of Sunshine opens in Melbourne
A Melbourne-based hotel is opening a new location in Melbourne’s inner west.
House of Sunshine in St Andrews opened its doors in Melbourne on Thursday.
It is the third location for the property.
It’s the same property that has attracted rave reviews and has been described as the “perfect location for weddings”.
The hotel has been open since the 1920s and was first opened in 1921.
The property’s interior is inspired by the early 19th century St Andrews style, the main attraction is a rooftop garden and the outdoor seating area is ideal for large gatherings.
“It is a place where you can be yourself, where you feel comfortable,” hotel director Rob Scott told ABC Radio Melbourne.
The location was first chosen because it has an existing guest house on the top floor.
The new house will have a reception area, lounge and a spa.
The hotel is the first of its kind in Melbourne.
